Set on Abu Dhabi’s dynamic east, Yas Island is a short 10 minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Book an Etihad airport transfer and arrive in style and ready for adventure. You can also grab a taxi from the airport or take a bus.
Renting your own car? The journey could not be simpler. Just head east from the airport along Al Diyafah Street. Then take the slip road right to join Al Mireef Street. Follow this around as it becomes Yas Drive Street, then cross the water into Yas Island.

The cultural delights of Saadiyat Island are just 20 minutes from your Yas Island base. Head on the E12 highway west via Al Athari Street. Then pass Jubail Mangrove Park and over the water to reach the heart of the island, where you’ll find the stunning Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Leave the city and head for the dunes of Sir Bani Yas Island – a two-and-a-half hours’ drive from Yas Island. Head on the E12 highway east, the merge onto the E11 south. Follow this road for around 143 miles (230 kilometres) before exiting onto Al Yash Street. Then board the ferry across to the island.
Downtown Abu Dhabi is a short 30-minute drive from Yas Island, and is overflowing with hotels, shops and restaurants. Again, you’ll need to join the E12 west, but this time, pass through Saadiyat Island and across Sheikh Khalifa Bridge, then turn left onto Al Zahiyah Street.

Yas Express is a free daily shuttle bus service open to everyone. Different routes take you between Yas Island’s top attractions, restaurants and hotels.

Yas Island is busiest during the winter months (December to February) and school holidays. Book your attraction tickets in advance to avoid missing out.

Single admission to Yas Waterworld costs AED 270 for adults, and AED 220 for children under 3.6 feet tall. If you’re visiting as a group, you may be able to save money with their Family and Friends offer. Your ticket to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will allow you to access most of the rides at no extra cost. But this does not include additional attractions, such as the go-karts and simulators. Yes. Yas Island once stood as part of the mainland, but the arrival of the F1™ circuit called for something more dramatic. So, a canal was created to separate Downtown Abu Dhabi from the island, and it took off from there to become the entertainment hub it is today.
Yas Island is located on Abu Dhabi’s east, close to Abu Dhabi International Airport. The island is well connected by three bridges and the E12 highway, so it can be easily accessed from any part of the city.
There are currently two theme parks and one waterpark on Yas Island. These are:
· Warner Bros World™ Abu Dhabi – an immersive amusement park filled with famous characters.
· Ferrari World Abu Dhabi – home to the fastest rollercoaster in the world.
· Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi – featuring more than 40 rides and slides.
Wake up bright and early and head to one of Yas Island’s busiest attractions – Yas Waterworld. With more than 40 rides and slides, it’s the perfect spot to cool off and create some unforgettable memories. Feel your troubles floating away on the 300-metre lazy river, grab the whole family on the longest six-seater water coaster and plummet into the depths on the first freefall drop waterslide.
Lunchtime is here, and with it an amazing choice of cuisines. Leave the waterpark and head to Yas Mall Food Court for a shaded lunch. This sprawling mega-mall has 19 cafes and 23 restaurants, ranging from gourmet dishes to fresh Italian coffee. Save room for dessert – freshly baked cookies, decadent chocolate and gelato ice cream are all on offer.
Head to Yas Marina before the sun goes down to experience the brilliant contrast of colours against the Arabian Gulf. Then, jump on a cruise and get up close and personal with the superyachts and glistening coastline.
Once the sun goes down, enjoy an evening meal at one of the marina restaurants. Cipriani is an authentic Italian restaurant serving up fresh, homestyle cooking against the beautiful backdrop of the Yas Marina Circuit. Looking for character and colour? Mr Miyagi's is a quirky and atmospheric bar that serves up Asian street food.
End the night at Etihad Arena. This premium indoor venue hosts a vast array of events, from music concerts and comedy nights, to sporting events and Disney shows.
