It is mandatory to have a COVID-19 PCR test before you fly with Etihad Airways – you will only be permitted to fly if you have a negative test result.

Your test must be carried out a maximum of 96 hours before your flight departure time at any government accredited medical facility. This includes children aged one and above.

Remember to print your test results and keep them with you throughout your trip – you will be required to present your result for validation. It must clearly show the name and address of the laboratory, the result and the date and time of the sample taken.

If you are travelling to the Maldives as a tourist, you must have a confirmed hotel reservation for your stay at a registered tourist facility. You must stay at that accommodation for the entire duration of your trip. The visa on arrival facility is currently available.

All other passengers, including residents of the Maldives (nationals and expatriates), are required to self-isolate for 14 days on arrival. You must provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test result before being released.

Before you travel to the Maldives, you must complete a health declaration form.
