Arriving in Colombo

Schedule your flights to Colombo with Etihad Airways and take a trip to a varied, multicultural city with an interesting history of different sovereign nations until Sri Lanka’s independence made it the financial centre of a new nation and it took on a personality of its own.

Plan Your Colombo Holiday

Travel to Colombo during the peak season of December to March if you want to be there for the best weather. It will be hot, but the lack of rain and humidity should make it pleasantly so rather than uncomfortable, and you should book your tickets to Colombo well in advance as this is the most popular time to visit the city. This is the best time for walking around the city and visiting museums and unique combinations of architecture from around the world. The fabulous elephant shows are also worth seeing.

Those looking for cheap hotels in Colombo may wish to consider a wetter holiday during the monsoon season when the city has far fewer local and international travellers. Whenever you are planning to travel be sure to check the popular Etihad Deals section for the best flight deals to Colombo all year round.
