It is mandatory to have a COVID-19 PCR test before you fly with Etihad Airways – you will only be permitted to fly if you have a negative test result.

Your test must be carried out a maximum of 96 hours before your flight departure time at any government accredited medical facility.

Children under 12 and people with severe and moderate disabilities are exempt from COVID-19 PCR testing.

Remember to print your test results and keep them with you throughout your trip – you will be required to present your result for validation at check-in.

The UK is taking steps to help stop the spread of COVID-19, and there are a number of requirements you must be aware of before you travel:

  1. To protect your health and others’, you must complete an online passenger locator form before arriving in the UK
  2. You will not be required to self-isolate on arrival if you're flying from the UAE
  3. You may be required to self-isolate for 14 days if you're flying from another country – check the exempt countries list immediately before you travel as this list can change at short notice
  4. It is a legal requirement that you wear a face covering on public transport in the UK

Failure to comply with the above measures is a criminal offence and you could be fined. Please visit gov.uk/uk-border-control for detailed public health advice and requirements for entering the UK.
