The local currency in Greece is the euro (EUR). You'll find that bargaining is common in markets, but fixed prices are charged elsewhere.

Getting around

The major cities all have public transport systems - Athens has buses, trains and taxis all available. It also has three ferry ports.

Languages spoken

The official language here is Greek and it's spoken by almost the entire population. Other languages that are widely used include Macedonian, Turkish and English.
