Stepping into the shoes of the fastest drivers in the world as you to take to the grid like the biggest names in Formula 1™.
If you’re lucky enough to visit Abu Dhabi in late November, you’ll be in town at the same time as the biggest show in the calendar – the season ending Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
This day-night race is always a special date in the motorsport calendar and attracts visitors from across the world.
Book well in advance to watch the action unfold. Take your seat by the starting line or reserve a spot in one of the grandstands located around the track for great views.
Take the wheel of some of the fastest cars around with a racing experience day at Yas Marina Circuit. Feel the adrenaline rush of open-wheel racing with a Formula Yas 3000 session. Modelled on the F1™ race car, these high-speed vehicles are the closest you’ll get to driving the real thing. There’s also the chance to get behind the wheel of an Aston Martin GT4 for even more fast-paced action.
Explore the track under your own steam on a TrainYas open day. Cycle, run or walk your way around the track and soak up the atmosphere. Whatever your chosen pace, you’re free to join your friends and family for a fun-filled, healthy way to enjoy the circuit. Cycling is open to members of the Abu Dhabi Cycling Club, but anyone can explore the circuit on foot.
Younger race fans can enjoy the thrills of Yas Marina Circuit in a whirlwind go-karting experience. Yas KartZone is a purpose built 800 metre track modelled on the circuit itself where younger drivers can enjoy competitive racing or drive laps at their own pace. Karts are fast enough to feel all the excitement of racing while being the right size and speed for little racers to feel comfortable behind the wheel.
Speed kings and queens will love Yas Marina Circuit’s purpose-built drag strip. You’ll reach top speeds of over 120mph in a matter of seconds as you roar down the drag’s two-and-a-half mile (four kilometre) straight. You can jump in one of the experiences’ Mercedes or Chevrolet drag racers or take your own car along to Drag Night to compete against rival teams from around the city.
The racetrack is located in lively Yas Island, so getting there by car is straightforward from all corners of Abu Dhabi.
It takes about 28 minutes to get to the circuit from Abu Dhabi Corniche. Head along Corniche Street before merging with the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Highway (E12). Follow E12 across Saadiyat Island, joining Al Falah Road. Leave Al Falah Road at Al Athari Street, following signs for the circuit.
The journey from Saadiyat Island takes about 23 minutes. Join the Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Highway (E12). Take the highway eastwards, before merging with Al Falah Road and follow signs for the circuit.
The circuit lies opposite Abu Dhabi International Airport, so the journey only takes 10 minutes by car. Leaving AUH arrivals, head along Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. Take a right at Al Rahah Street and then merge with Yas Dr Street in Yas Plaza, where you’ll see the circuit.

Lockers are available for rental while you are at the racetrack on a first-come, first-serve basis.
There are several prayer rooms for your privacy located near the grandstands and at Yas Central.
Buggies and mobility vehicles are available for hire and there is easy access to all the main areas of the site. There are also free hop-on, hop-off golf caddies to assist those getting around the site.
There is plenty of parking available at the racetrack. When you book you will be given a designated parking area. This will depend on the experience you have booked – and details will be on your ticket or event confirmation email.
Yas Marina Circuit is open from 9am to midnight, seven days a week. The racetrack will be closed for sporting and entertainment events throughout the year, so check the calendar before you go to see if it is going to open for non-event visitors during your stay.
Loose-fitting, comfortable clothing that covers your shoulders, arms and legs will be suitable for a day at the track. If you’re cycling or running the course, you will want to wear comfortable exercise clothing. Yas Marina Circuit hosts a number of events that may have specific dress code requirements, so check with the event organisers before you arrive.
