Overflowing with attractions, Reem Central Park is a modern and thriving outdoor space situated on Al Reem Island. It’s designed for families, couples and friends – so there’s something for everyone.

Take in the wonderful mangrove views from the beach and beyond as you wander between delicious food trucks, elaborate fountains, modern playgrounds, a skate park and a wide range of sports parks.

If you want to explore the park at a more sedate pace, you’ll discover perfect paths for both cyclists and pedestrians. You can also find a spot on the beach to watch the world go by, before tucking into the array of food on offer.

The beauty of the beach

Water is at the heart of Al Reem Island. Impressive water features provide a relaxing experience from every direction. Head there in the evening for the laser and light show, where these striking statues dazzle in colour.

Head for the beach and you’ll find plenty of places to chill. Children will love playing in the golden sand. There’s also a dedicated area for beach volleyball games – join in or just kick back and watch the action.

Getting to Reem Central Park 

Reem Central Park is on the northern side of Al Reem Island, north of the Gate District –  an area packed with hotels.

 

Getting to Reem Central Park from Yas Island

A 30-to-40-minute drive will take you to Reem Central Park from Yas Island. One of the more direct routes is to drive west along Sheikh Khalif Bin Zayed Street and stay on until you reach Al Zahiyah Street. Additionally, you can travel on the E12 and E10 into the city.  

Getting to Reem Central Park from Saadiyat Island 

This 30-minute journey takes you south-west across the Sheikh Khalif Bridge into the city. Then, follow Al Zahiyah Street and cross the water via Hamouda Bin Ali Al Dhaheri Street – similarly to our Corniche directions. 

Getting to Reem Central Park from Abu Dhabi International Airport

Leave the airport and join the E20 heading into the city. Pass the striking Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to join the E10 highway, then cross over the water on Hazza Bin Zayed the First Street. Carry on past the Gate District to reach the park. 

On site amenities

Parking

There is a free-to-use surface parking lot on Al Sheer Street, which is easily accessible for the park. It’s open seven days a week.

Equipment hire

There is an on-site concession offering canoe and kayak rentals close to the beach for those who want to get on the water. 

Restaurants

In addition to the many food trucks, there are also several permanent restaurants at Reem Central Park, including a seafood grill and modern pizzeria.

Accessibility

The layout of the park affords excellent accessibility for all including wheelchair users.

Four local artists were commissioned in 2019 to decorate the park with motifs and murals.

The Wave is a piece of modern water sculpture utilising LED lighting for a multi-sensory experience.

The park covers a total of around one million square feet.

The tribute mural to Kobe Bryant was added to the park in early 2020.
